Grief can manifest in a variety of ways and can be particular to individuals. There is not one right way to grieve whether it is the loss or anticipated loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, a dream, or a job. Whether validated or minimized, grief will present in a variety of ways, emotionally, physically, and socially. Understanding the complexities of grief can help you understand your own reactions and/or help you support others. This session will discuss the stages of grief, different types of grief, external influences, and self-care practices. Optional 5 week virtual psychoeducational group will begin Thursday, April 2, 2026 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Finding focus doesn’t have to be a solo mission. Side by Side is a virtual therapeutic group designed for UT faculty and staff who experience ADHD, autism, or executive functioning challenges. Whether you’re having trouble getting started, staying on task, or simply want supportive company while you work, this group offers structure, accountability, and connection.

Attendees will participate in an interactive, evidence-based values identification exercise designed to help individuals make decisions that reflect their true purpose and authenticity. Participants will discover how aligning with their core values can lead to optimal well-being, help manage stress and burnout, enhance resilience, and foster a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

Parte 2: Conectados: El Arte de las Relaciones Saludables Pláticas con Pan es una serie de conversaciones sinceras creadas para nutrir el alma, así como el pan recién hecho nutre el cuerpo. A través del diálogo honesto y las experiencias compartidas, exploramos temas de la vida real como el duelo y la pérdida, las relaciones saludables, la autoestima, el autocuidado, la crianza y mucho más. Estas pláticas invitan a las y los participantes a ir más despacio, mirar hacia su interior y reconectar con su voz interior en un espacio seguro y solidario, arraigado en la comunidad, la cultura y la compasión. Juntas y juntos compartimos historias, escuchamos con atención y creamos comunidad—una conversación a la vez.

Join us for weekly virtual meetings on Tuesdays from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. beginning Tuesday 3/24/26. Our support group is for caregivers in the UT community who care for other adults such as parents or partners.  Group members will have an opportunity to share their experiences, get support, learn about topics such as community resources, and discuss the importance of maintaining work/life balance.  The group will consist of the same members during the 5 weeks. All current employees and retirees are welcome to join. There will be psychoeducational material presented followed by open discussions, and experiential exercises/projects.
