The coming three months represent a big shift within our campus community as many colleges and units increase the density of employees on campus. At the EAP, we have been curating different articles here on the blog specifically tailored to different topics surrounding this new re-entry aspect of the pandemic.

We want to highlight an on-campus offering that UT Austin’s Title IX Office, in partnership with the Office for Inclusion and Equity and the Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault (IDVSA), is coordinating a series of Return to Campus Restorative Circles. During the months of June and July, there are multiple offerings of Restorative Justice Circles open to employees across campus to come together in small groups of 10 people to support one another.

The goals of the Return to Campus Restorative Circles are focused on community-building to:

  1. Discuss the transition to working in-person
  2. Meet and build community with your colleagues
  3. Participate in and build a supportive work environment
  4. Experience a community-building restorative circle

There are several open workshops available for registration now in UTLearn, or you can request a workshop for your department or unit.

For questions or concerns about this event, please contact Brelynn Thomas, Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Education and Prevention, or Erika Bellingham, Education and Prevention Coordinator in the Title IX Office.
