Four years ago, the world locked down as COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. There was immediate
concern for surviving the virus, and little was known about long-term effects of having COVID.
Since then, we have learned that 20-30 percent of people who get COVID will develop Long COVID. Long
COVID can have as many as 200+ symptoms, including mental health symptoms. The following report
shares what is known about Long COVID in 2024 and highlights many of the mental health impacts of
having the illness and from losing capacity to function while the person has Long COVID.
