"Bracing Less, Grounding More: A New Approach to Everyday Resilience," presented by Pamela M. Hamilton on Thursday, May 14th from noon to 1 p.m. In seasons when everything feels urgent — and the messages around us seem to say hurry up, get over it, just deal with it, and move on to the next thing — many of us cope by pushing through, no matter how it makes us feel. We stay productive. We stay composed. We keep going. While that can look like resilience, it often carries a quiet emotional cost.
This session invites participants to rethink what strength really means in everyday life. Rather than measuring resilience by how quickly we recover or how much we can carry without pause, we will explore the difference between simply enduring and learning how to steady ourselves in the middle of stress. Through reflection and shared language, attendees will consider how to remain grounded when work, life, and world events feel overwhelming — and why steadiness, not speed, may be the more sustainable path.
