HealthPoint Employee Assistance Program (EAP) strives to ensure that distance is not a barrier to accessing counseling services. Employees who do not work on the main campus, or who would prefer a more personal experience than an appointment by phone, will find added convenience through video counseling. The services offered and the eligibility requirements are the same as in-person counseling provided by EAP.
Video counseling appointments are held via Skype for Business, Zoom or Mircrosoft Teams. University employees already have a Skype for Business account associated with their work email address. Each of these platforms are an easy to use and secure system for confidential services. When you make a video counseling appointment, you will receive step-by-step instructions on how to access video counseling through the preferred platform.
The video counseling services have already proven invaluable in times of crisis. We encourage our remote employees to take advantage of this convenient service.
